A dynamic hypercardoid drum and instrument microphone has bright contoured response for added presence and sparkle. Ideal for snare and percussion. Features VLM noise rejection capsule, compact design for easy placement and is milled from a solid block of aluminum for reduced weight and greater durability.

This is the perfect snare drum mic.
Incredibly crisp and clear. Point it at the edge of the drum and that is the ONLY thing you will hear.
It's made of titanium and is very very tough. I've used it for live and studio work and have been very impressed. It stood up to a beating from an over zealous punk band (The mic stand broke) and it gives me great results.
Audix mics have become my most loved bits of gear and this mic (Along with the i5 are best of the lot that i have).
